HOW MISSING ONE TEST WILL IMPACT YOUR GRADE:

If you miss ONLY one test, here is how that missing test will affect your grade.  Mathematically, for the test you missed, you will be given the letter grade below your average test letter grade for the semester.  So, for example, if there are 8 tests for the semester (which includes the two 50 question portions that make up the final), and you miss one, but for the remaining 7 tests, your average grade is a B (85%), then for the one test you missed, you will be given a C (75%), only for that one test.

Additionally missed tests will be assigned a zero.  This can have a dramatic affect on your grade by pulling your percentage down excessively.  Take extra care not to miss tests if at all possible.  If there are extenuating circumstances, see the instructor.
